A Frosty Reception Wins Second Award 'A Frosty Reception', Moon Beam Media's latest short horror-comedy has recently been awarded 3rd place in the Keswick film festival short film compertition in the under-18's catagory. 13 Feb 2011 - A Frosty Reception Wins Award Moon Beam Media's latest film has recently been awarded the "Special Jury" Award at Mediaship, a youth film festival in Barrow-in-Furness. The 15 minute cut of A Frosty Reception has also been shortlisted to be shown at Keswick Film Festival.
13 June 09 - Plans for the next film are underway Planning for the next film has been started, we expect to film it in the summer holidays. As usual the plans are currently top secret so I can't tell you any more than that. 24 May 09 - Mbm facebook group reaches 100 members!

Moon Beam Media has just won it's first award!! They described the film as 'A slickly produced horror movie with all the classic elements of the slasher genre'.
11 Feb 09 - The Camp Shortlisted I am very pleased to say that 'The Camp', Moon Beam Media's latest film has been shortlisted for the Keswick Film festival under 18's short film competition. The screening is on Saturday 14th at 10:30 am along with the other 3 films in the shortlist. http://www.keswickfilmfestival.org/
14 dec 08 - Latest Film Finished! 'The Camp', Moon Beam Media's latest film has recently been released. It has been sold in school for £4.00 and has sold over 10 copys so far. The Premier on Saturday was a success and the film was received well (we think!). To out out more about 'The Camp' go to the Camp mini-website
12 Oct 08 - Moon Beam Media receives grant Recently Moon Beam Media received a grant for £1,500 from Cumbria County Council to purchase new filming equipment. The money was given to us as part of Cumbria County Councils Youth opportunities scheme which gives money to Young people with exiting projects all over Cumbria. The Money will go to getting a new camera and tripod which should go a long way to improving the image quality of our films. The new equipment will also help young people in MBM gain experience in digital filming. 16 July 08 - Plans for next film underway Whilst the shooting of 'Oh you filthy Mare' continues the plans for Moon Beam Media's next film have got underway. Unfortunately the plans are currently top secret so I can't tell you any more than this.
18 May 08 - Oh You Filthy Mare 'Oh You Filthy Mare!' is Moon Beam Media's brand new observational comedy sketch show. It is currently being scripted, filmed, and edited this year. Hopefully towards the end of 2008, it will be launched, and viewed by many. Hopefully with laughter. Dec 07 - Evil in the Mountains is finished!! We are pleased to announce that are latest film has been released! Evil in the Mountains is a full length comedy starring Niall Redhead, Harry Worgan, Tom Worgan, Hamish Fletcher-Cooney and Jack Filmore. |
